I guess it's really been some time since I've updated. I can't seem to find it in myself to update any longer for some odd reason. Also, I've been a little tired of purple recently as everywhere I go, I kept seeing purple. Purple clothes. Purple hats. Purple walls in shops. Even purple cars! Alright, fine, I know that this year's theme is probably purple, but this is ridiculous!
Hence the reason why I decided to change my blog skin. Suits my mood a lot more, and it also took me a hell of a time to figure out how to put up the damn music on my blog without having to use sites like Imeem and eSnips.
This blog entry should really have been put up two days ago on November 29, 2009, but I guess I'm not in the correct mood to put it up then. On that day, initially, Keng Yeow and I wanted to watch Ninja Assassin or Fantastic Mr Fox.
The first movie because I think that it's an adaption of the game Ninja Assassin and my friend always went ga-ga over that game of hers for some odd reason. And the second because that used to be one of my favourite books when I was younger. But in the end, we decided to catch Twilight Saga New Moon instead as we've wanted to watch that ever since the promotion poster came out, and it is only by a stroke of luck that the movie came out early in cinemas this year.
The movie is a whole lot better than the first, if I may speak the truth. Maybe because of the change of directors? But Good Lord, what is it with the pale complexion of the vampires in the movie? I mean, I know that vampires are meant to be pale and beautiful and all that, but the paleness of the vampires in the movie is really overdoing it!
But on the other hand, effects of the movie and the acting is really superb. No complaints there, I guess. I never really did like the second book in the Twilight series because Bella is a tad bit whiny there, and in my personal opinion, the movie is a lot better.
My favourite part of the movie is probably the fighting scenes between the guy who plays Edward Cullen and the Volturi vampires in one of the last parts of the movie. And is it just me, but are the wolves in this movie a little too humongous? I know that they're supposed to be larger than normal wolves in the book, but isn't this overdoing it a little?
Overall, the movie is excellent. Much better than the first one, that's for sure. And I'll probably get the DVD once it comes out for collection sake as well. But let's hope that the third movie in the Twilight series won't have such exaggerated details.
